$10 million for Waikato's clean streams

Environment Waikato has invested $10 million into fencing and tree planting over the next 10 years to keep cows of out the waterways. The Clean Streams project aims to improve water quality by helping farmers with the cost of installing fencing to keep cows away from rivers and streams.

This year the regional council has given $400,000 to 116 Waikato farmers for the fencing and planting project.
