Bank leaker identified by investigator

A Treasury investigator has identified the person allegedly responsible for leaking secret documents about the $80 million taxpayer-funded People's Bank.

Treasury Secretary Alan Bollard was due to reveal the results of the search for the mole last Tuesday, but then said it would be inappropriate while the inquiry report was still in draft form. But the Herald understands the delay was to allow the alleged leaker time to respond to the accusation before the inquiry finding is made public.
