"We have had great feedback from walkers on their past festival experiences, and many are returning for their third year.
"This will attract people from all over New Zealand to come to the Manawatu and will promote the Manawatu as a food and walk destination."
The festival is growing and bringing people together who have similar interests. The walks range in experience levels and are suitable for all ages and families.
"Get out and enjoy it, there is a lot of beautiful scenery and autumn is a good time to see it," Mr Goldingham said.
The festival is supported by Walking New Zealand, Destination Manawatu, Palmerston North City Council, Manawatu Striders, Horizons Regional Council and the Manawatu branch of Forest and Bird.
