An 11-year-old boy was injured after crashing his motorcycle into a cow.

The incident happened on a property near Hunterville, north of Palmerston North, about 3.30pm.

The boy was stabilised by St John paramedics before being airlifted by the Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter to Whanganui Hospital.
