ENTRIES are being encouraged for next year's Reel Earth Short Film Competition.
The incredible depth of filmmaking talent within our community is set to be showcased again at the Reel Earth Short Film Competition in Palmerston North.
With outstanding film entries received last year, the Palmerston North City Environmental Trust is excited to host this competition again in 2018.
PNCET Board memberFiona Gordon says, "It's a fantastic opportunity for avid filmmakers, of all ages and skill level, to show off their creativity and share their thoughts on what's important to them when helping our environment flourish."
The competition is part of the annual Reel Earth Film Festival which aims to engage, entertain and inspire people on environmental topics through the powerful art of film.
Due to popular demand, a new category for adult filmmakers has been added to the Junior and Youth categories, with free film-making workshops available soon.
Filmmakers nationwide are encouraged to produce and submit their environmental short films between January 15 and March 19, 2018. In addition to prizes, the winners will have their film shown on the big screen during the Reel Earth Film Festival 2018 (film quality dependent).
