Young royals, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are doing their best to become more social media savvy.
The couple signed up to Twitter on Wednesday morning with the @KensingtonRoyal handle already accumulating over 88K followers. The account bio describes it as: "Updates, pictures and videos from Kensington Palace, about The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry and their Royal Foundation."
Not long after, they took the next step. Kensington Palace - home to William, Kate and their son Prince George, as well as the popular Prince Harry - officially signed up for photo sharing app Instagram.
Two picture posts have already attracted over 60K followers - with not much to see just yet.
These aren't the first royal accounts on the web. The @BritishMonarchy Twitter account has been around since 2009, sending out news and updates from Buckingham Palace on behalf of the royal family. The account @ClarenceHouse appeared in 2010 and sends out news on Charles, Prince of Wales and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall.
We're not expecting anything too revealing from the latest royal social networks, although the famous British family have been known to send the occassional personal Tweet themselves.
