In her excitement, Lashley sent the group, still including Williams, a follow up text and photo of the new arrival, a baby boy named Carson.
Williams responded again to the group message: "Well I don't know Yall but me and the boys will be thru to take picture with the baby."
Others in the group conversation apologised for bothering him, but Williams replied: "Nah that's okay what's the room number... we have gifts."
True to his word, Williams and his brother, Deorick, turned up at Bainbridge Hospital in Georgia with a gift for the Lashley family's new addition.
Lashley shared an image on Facebook and explained how a text message to a wrong number had lead to the brothers meeting baby Carson. She wrote: "What a blessing these two guys were to our family. They were so sweet and kind to do this!"
