'World's Fastest Indian' brings media to Invercargill

Media interest is expected to be huge for Wednesday's world premiere in Invercargill of Roger Donaldson's movie "The World's Fastest Indian".

Media coordinator Neville Cook says Australian coverage of the event is being provided by The Sydney Telegraph, Mens Style magazine and the Sunday Times.

He says there is already strong interest from New Zealand media, with TV 1 and TV 3 both doing crosses into their 6 o'clock news bulletins, as well as the major radio networks having reporters on the spot .

Neville Cook says there will be internet reports and Air New Zealand's In Flight magazine will also cover the event.

He says this could be the biggest media event in Invercargill in recent times.
