A British mother "heaved" when she saw the nasty surprise in her "brand spanking new" fridge freezer.
Jacinta Forde unwrapped the £500 ($955) Bosch appliance Argos had delivered to her Camden home, only to be overcome by a horrible stench coming from inside.
When she found the strength to openthe fridge she found it was full of mould and still contained someone else's food.
The stench was so revolting, it made Forde heave.
"I can't even describe it, it was so pungent," she told The Sun.
She contacted customer services at Argos to complain but says she was laughed at by an employee over the phone.
After she made a number of attempts to call the retailer, Argos eventually agreed to collect the fridge-freezer and give Forde a refund.
Despite receiving a refund, Forde says her treatment is not good enough.
"If you buy a mattress, you wouldn't expect it has gone to someone else's house, been returned and then sent to you."
According to the Independent, Argos has now apologised.
"We're very sorry to hear about Ms Forde's experience.
"We have fully refunded the total amount and arranged for collection of the faulty fridge to ensure we can thoroughly investigate the cause of what happened."
