Why the Royal family has not announced the baby's name

It's been three whole days since Prince William and Duchess Kate welcomed their third baby and the world is eagerly awaiting the announcement of the boy's name.

While it is far from unusual for the Royal family to take some time to make this sort of announcement, people are speculating over the reason for this particular delay.

It took two days to release George's name and nearly three days to announce Charlotte's name. When their father was born, the Royal family waited a whole week before releasing his name.

Royal commentator Victoria Arbiter suspects the reason for this delay relates to the fact that Prince Charles is out of the country.

The Prince was in France, where he attended the Anzac Day dawn service.

The proud new parents could very well be waiting to introduce the boy to his grandfather first.

So, no baby name today. Can only assume they’re waiting for Charles to get back from France to meet his new grandson first. Can’t complain about that.

Sources say he was due to return to England yesterday so we could be very close to finding out the name.
