The Duchess of Sussex had her favourite hat with her when she put in a dazzling appearance at Wimbledon over the weekend - but not on her head.
Meghan, who joined the Duchess of Cambridge in the Royal Box to watch the Ladies' singles final in a sunny SW19 onSaturday, simply carried her Madewell panama hat in her hand as the pair made their way to the best seats on Centre Court.
But the royal, who was chic in Ralph Lauren to cheer on her friend Serena Williams against Germany's Angelique Kerber, wasn't protecting her now famous tousled bun - but simply observing Royal Box guidelines.
Ladies in the VIP seats at Wimbledon are asked to refrain from wearing hats, to avoid obscuring the view of the match for anyone sitting behind them.

Although a spokesperson for the tournament told FEMAIL that panama style hats are permitted, guidelines for the Royal Box on the Wimbledon website say: "Dress is smart, suits/jacket and tie, etc.
"Ladies are asked not to wear hats, as they tend to obscure the vision of those seated behind them."
While her Madewell hat is panama-style, it seems the Duchess opted to observe the guidelines all the same.
Despite the high profile support, new mother Serena lost out in the final to Kerber, who beat her 6-3, 6-3.
When then Suits star Meghan put in a low-key appearance at Wimbledon in 2016 - before her romance with Prince Harry made headlines around the world - she did not sit in the Royal Box and her hat was firmly in place.

The Duchess of Sussex has been snapped a number of times over the years in her Madewell hat, most recently to cheer on her husband Prince Harry at the Audi Polo Challenge in Berkshire.
Meghan invited tennis star Serena and her internet tycoon husband Alexis Ohanian to join her for the low-key day at Coworth Park at the start of the month.
It was a second trip to Berkshire for the superstar American couple, who were guests at Harry and Meghan's Windsor Castle wedding in May.
Meghan teamed her trusty hat with a pair of wide leg white trousers from Ralph Lauren and a crisp blue and white striped shirt.

Her artfully tousled bun was back in place - following a series of formal outings sporting glossy, Kate-esque blow-dried curls.
The Duchess of Cambridge, who is a familiar face at Wimbledon as a patron of the tournament, left near three-month-old Prince Louis at home to enjoy an afternoon out with her husband's new sister-in-law.
Like Meghan, Kate had returned to an old favourite for their outing - Jenny Packham.
The mother-of-three, who has worn dresses by Jenny Packham to bring all of her children home from hospital after giving birth, opted for a black and white printed dress by the trusted designer on Saturday.
She teamed it with a Dolce & Gabbana bag and her signature blow dry.
It's been a busy few weeks for the young royals. After Prince Louis' christening at St James' Palace, Meghan and Harry flew to Ireland for their first official overseas visit as a married couple.
The newlyweds met with the Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar, paid a visit to Croke Park, toured Trinity College, and shared half a pint of Guinness over lunch at the cosy Dublin restaurant, Delahunt.
