A clever thief Kevin Caffery (Martin Lawrence) goes to auctions to find out what's worth stealing. At one sale he meets Amber Belhaven (Carmen Ejogo), tearful because she has to sell the painting her father left her. The painting goes for $3000; some punters think
it's probably worth $30,000.
Caffery's next target is the luxury waterside estate of Max Fairbanks (Danny DeVito), extremely rich person and serial womaniser. The burglary should be simple because the place is empty; in fact, Max is holed up with Miss September.
Actually, I've just decided I won't go on with this because I'd be wasting my time. Unless you're a truly dedicated Martin Lawrence or Danny DeVito fan (and I used to be), you too may feel that the movie answers its own question.
