Winter means the start of Arbor Day plantings. Today North Shore people can head to Eskdale Reserve with the Kaipatiki Project community planting day, west there's planting at Glen Eden's Kowhai reserve with Project Twin Streams, while central Friends of Oakley Creek are planting around the waterfall tomorrow.
