They may have more fun but blondes are facing some bad news - gentlemen no longer prefer them.

Instead of yearning for a partner who looks like Marilyn Monroe, men are now more likely to lust after brunettes such as Megan Fox or Angelina Jolie.

In fact, a study shows the "perfect" woman is a brown-haired doctor who has blue eyes, a secret tattoo and loves to swim.

The research from dating website Match.com also found the perfect man is a smart executive who has blue eyes, short dark brown hair, and a soft spot for dogs.

Relationship expert Kate Taylor said: "Men are on the lookout for a woman who is as comfortable in a pair of scrubs as she is in a swimming costume."
