Top baby Micah Waite has cooed his approval after judges declared him the country's most adorable baby.
The 3-month-old Manurewa boy out-cuted almost 1000 babies to be named the face of Merino Kids' 2016 autumn/winter range.
Mum Melina Waite was alone with her son when she heard the news onThursday. The little boy was the first to be told. "I said to him 'you won, congratulations' and he smiled and cooed."
Micah is the youngest of five. He has already brought oodles of happiness to his parents and siblings, Waite said.
Judge Emily McKeown said she loved Micah's "gorgeous head of hair". "As a parent of very bald babies I'm quite jealous of that gorgeous head of hair. He looks like he's having wonderful dreams about milk and Mum and Dad."
Merino Kids founder Amie Nilsson described all six finalists as "beautiful babies".
