Wedding photographer captures Canadian groom saving drowning boy from river. Source: CTV News
The last thing a groom would expect to happen while taking wedding photos is to end up soaking wet - but this Canadian man didn't think twice before jumping into a river to save a drowning boy.
Clayton and Brittany Cook were posing for their wedding photos on a parkbridge in Ontario, Canada when the groom noticed a child had pushed a boy into the river.
"I look over and I see Clay in the water and I think, what is he doing?" Brittany Cook told CTV News.
Without hesitation, Mr Cook had leapt into the river and pulled the young boy up to safety, according to The Sun.
"His face was underwater and he was fighting, like he was really fighting," Clayton Cook said.
"His quick action saved the little guy who was struggling to swim. Well done sir!"
Mrs Cook told CTV News that she expected nothing less from her husband and says his selfless actions were one of the reasons she fell in love with him.
She told CTV: "That's Clay to me - it's something he would just instinctively do."
