Review: Russell Baillie
What, no Don McLean?
No, the soundtrack to the superior high-school big-screen comedy is generally as male teenage-hyperactive and clean-cut as its characters, what with the likes of Sugar Ray, Blink 182, Third Eye Blind and Tonic contributing various degrees of FM-friendly punkpop and folk-rock at its most memorable on Dishwalla's strident anthem Find Your Way Back Home.
However, it's up to the only female contributor - a singer named Bic Runga - to outclass the competition, twice. As well as oldie Sway, she duets with Semisonic's Dan Wilson, who co-wrote, the rather delightful Good Morning Baby.
