Mr Repia contacted the Herald in the hope the couple could be identified, and after an article appeared today Mrs Pink was soon contacted by friends who saw her photo online.
"My first thought was, 'God, that's a bad one'. There were heaps of nicer ones, but anyway," she said, laughing.
Mrs Pink, who lives on a central Hawkes Bay dairy farm, said she was still baffled as to who the USB belongs to, or how it ended up in Auckland.
Her wedding was relatively small with around 35 people, with most living in Hawkes Bay.
"I've got no idea how it got up there ... my sister lives on the North Shore, but I don't even think it is hers. I have no idea, I'll have to see the rest of the photos."
Earlier, Mr Repia said he was keen to reunite the images with their owner after his own efforts proved fruitless. It was then he contacted the Herald.
"Outside of publishing an ad somewhere, it would be pretty hard to find them," he said.
"There are other family gathering pictures in there, so I expect it will be pretty important to them - I'd hate to think it's the only copy they've got.
"I just want to do the right thing. I think they'd be pretty relieved to have them back."
