The very best of Auckland cuisine will be shown off by the city's best chefs and restaurateurs this weekend.
Thousands of foodie fans are expected to promenade around Victoria Park, sampling the tapas-style dishes over the annual three-day Taste of Auckland food festival which kicks off this evening.
Organisers say
this year's event offers a "truly outstanding line-up" of the city's top chefs and restaurants, ready with their best summer dishes.
Among eateries represented at the festival is the award-winning Clooney - attendees will be able to try, among its other dishes, a succulent serving of Saikou salmon with orange peel, saffron and fennel pollen.
Antonio Crisci from Waiheke Island's Poderi Crisci will also be there. One of his creations up to be tasted is an organic shredded mozzarella dish served with a selection of garden tomatoes, basil and the Poderi Crisci extra-virgin olive oil.
