Heidi Klum has stunned the world on and off the runway as one of the world's most successful supermodels, but now she has revealed her beauty routine involves a rather inexpensive product — baby shampoo.
The 45-year-old model currently works on America's Got Talent and recently announced her collaboration withAmazon to produce a new fashion show with her 'TV husband' Tim Gunn.
In an effort to stay fresh-faced for all of her projects, Heidi told HelloGiggles that she uses Johnson's $4.50 Baby Shampoo as a thorough and gentle facial cleanser, reports the Daily Mail.
"I think that whatever you give children has to be good for adults," Heidi told the news site.
Her attraction towards using baby products for skin care first started after she got an eye infection and her doctor suggested using the items to gently wash off her makeup.
"I feel like some of the products out there are too harsh, taking out all of your natural oils out and everything," Heidi said.
"Products that are for kids are great because they go through so much more testing. We shouldn't forget that."
The baby shampoo is paraben-, sulfate-, phthalate- and dye-free and has been proven to be gentle to use on young children. Heidi believes that the testing these products go through compared to regular beauty products prove it to be worthy of washing her face after a day of wearing makeup.
Another product she recommends is Mario Badescu's Buttermilk Moisturizer ($28) to hydrate the skin after cleansing.

Heidi's rather cheap cleansing routine comes after it was revealed just how much it cost for her to get ready for the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards with makeup artist Linda Hay.
The mother-of-four opted for a more glamorous look for the Emmy's on September 17 — which she attended as a nominee for outstanding TV host with Project Runway — that moved away from her typical bare-faced routine and cost a whopping $587 in total.
