A father has become an internet sensation after a picture of him holding an umbrella over his young son - while allowing himself to get completely soaked by the rain - has gone viral.
The heart-warming photograph, which was purportedly taken in Vancouver, Canada, was published under a headline whichsimply read: 'Dads'.
The adorable image, which appears to have been originally posted to Reddit by user 'jagershotzz', has been viewed more than three million times and attracted 1,000 plus comments.
The photograph shows an unknown businessman -who is smartly dressed in a blue striped shirt, black suit trousers and carrying a briefcase - walking down a busy, traffic-congested road with his infant son.
The young boy is seen without a jacket or rain coat and is dressed in a white t-shirt, jeans and bright yellow trainers. He is carrying a lion-adorned backpack.
As the weather turns sour, the man can be seen holding his black umbrella over the boy's head to shield him from the downpour, leaving himself to get soaked.

A woman can be seen walking towards the pair but doesn't appear to have noticed the act of kindness taking place.
The cute snap, which has also been shared on websites such as Imgur and 9Gag, struck a chord with many online users.
"Anyone can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a dad," wrote one fan. Another description of it reads: "My dad wasn't around for me as a child, so I've got no role model. Can I be a good dad to my kid?"
While someone else points out: "But you see, dad is doing more than keeping him dry. He's teaching him how to put others before himself."
Others commented on differences that may have occurred had the image shown a mother and her child in a similar scenario.
"Moms would have brought two umbrellas," joked one user as another added "...and a mum would have made sure the kid was sent to school with a raincoat on in the first place haha."
One Imgur user pointed out that the father's umbrella skills leave much to be desired. "Give the umbrella to the kid. Hold the kid. Problem solved," they wrote.
