Oh, just what we need: a movie whose central figures are hooked on methamphetamines.
At the centre of a dark, depraved world is a man with two personalities, played by Val Kilmer. As Tom Van Allen he is a loving husband, pro trumpet player; after his wife's murder he
turns into Danny Parker, and hunts her killers.
Parker descends to the underworld and becomes an amphetamine-fuelled informant for two renegade cops (Anthony LaPaglia and Doug Hutchison). They are setting up a drug deal with the nutter Pooh-Bear (Vincent D'Onofrio), who wears a plastic nose after losing his own from snorting drugs. Role models for our young, huh?
DVD features: movie (103min); trailer; cast and crew biographies; 2 features, Embracing the Chaos, Meth and Method.
