Cross a big-budget swashbuckler with a Hong Kong martial arts movie and you get ... this completely confusing but unintentionally hilarious romp. It's France in the 17th century, the locals fear a Spanish invasion and Cardinal Richelieu (Stephen Rea) has raised a
private army while King Louis XIII's loyal musketeers are in disgrace. Young D'Artagnan (Justin Chambers), who saw his parents murdered by the evil Febre (Tim Roth), rides to the rescue, revives the musketeers, saves the Queen (Catherine Deneuve) and falls in love with the Queen's Comely Dresser (Mena Suvari, from American Beauty and American Pie).
