This week Kristen Stewart wore her typical "rebel without a cause" attitude on the Cannes red carpet, where she went against the glam dress code and turned up in a bandeau bra.

But it's not just on the red carpet that we're seeing celebrities parading in only their bras.
You only need to look at the latest pap snaps to see famous faces heading to the gym, or popping out for a latte, in their best sports bra. That's right, activewear has gone to the next level.

The stepping out sans shirt movement isn't revolutionary though. Madonna proved long ago that the humble bra can be a fashion statement all on its own and designers like Vivienne Westwood and Jean Paul Gaultier have hailed the undergarment in their latest collections.
