An 18-year-old woman has controversially decided to sell her virginity in the hope of raising enough money to buy a home for her parents who are set to be evicted in February.

Aleexandra Khefren, believed to be from Europe, plans to auction off sex for no less than €1million - which is currently equal to $1.5million - so that she can save them from ending up on the streets and they have no idea.

The teenager was inspired to place the advert on an online escort agency, after seeing the film Indecent Proposal - where Robert Redford's character offers Demi Moore £1billion to spend the night with her.

"I was 15, I saw a movie on TV it was about a girl who sold herself for one night. Maybe I could do this with my virginity I saw many girls who sold themselves for £3.5million or more," she told presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on ITV show This Morning.

The European woman said that she was up against a deadline because her parents were set to be made homeless and she also needed the money to study abroad at Oxford University.

Asked about the suitor who might make the winning bid, Aleexandra had no worries about completing the transaction no matter what he looked like.

"I am thinking it is strictly business not emotional. I think it will be alright, I think a glass of wine will be enough to get through," she added.

Both Holly and Phillip were concerned about Aleexandra's decision, as it became more apparent that she hadn't thought the whole plan through.

They were stunned when she said that although she had been tested for the purposes of the advert on the online escort agency, to prove she was a virgin, she hadn't enquired about the winning bidder's health.

"I haven't thought about that..." she hesitated before adding, "Probably I will test him too. I didn't think about it."

An alarmed Phillip told Aleexandra: "I've got to say I am a father I have to say to you now, are you out of your mind? You haven't thought about the health aspects the safety aspects. What are you thinking?"

But Aleexandra was more concerned about finding the money to save her parents, even though they didn't know what she was doing.

She was convinced that they would never find out and she was not going to tell them either: 'I told them that I am going for a modelling catwalk, I am doing this for them but they don't know.

"My father is a very strict man. He wouldn't agree with it. If they don't find out I will never tell them," she added.

Aleexandra explained how the online escort agency were originally taking 50 per cent of her total bid but have now reduced it to 20 per cent but she seemed ill-advised about planning to travel by herself in Europe to wherever the winning bid was located.

When Phillip pointed out there are "very bad people out there", Aleexandra replied:

"Someone with that kind of money will be a good man and won't have problems."

The presenter added of the online auction site: "You have to look at this website you're doing it through. If they are taking 20 per cent and sending you out there, you have to look at the relationship you have with them."

She was asked by Holly what advice she would give to others if they ever found themselves in the same desperate situation, and Aleexandra said if it was a necessity to go ahead.

"If it is an emergency like in my case... You need the money quickly, there is no other way that you can do it, I would say yes do it, but if it's not then no."

The clearly worried presenters encouraged the teenager to speak with the show's counsellor after the interview to make sure that she truly understood the situation she had placed herself in.

"It's a tragedy that it's come to this. I hope personally that there is some miracle that your parents don't have to get evicted," Phillip said.

Those on Facebook responding to her appearance were unimpressed with her decision, with Sally Rowe saying it was a shame: "What sort of message does it send to all those beautiful innocent young girls out there that have been taught to respect themselves and
their bodies!"

Donna Greenhalgh said: "This is just the same as prostitution.. Why would you want to sleep with a complete stranger for money???"

While Sarah Convery argued that it was her body and her decision: "No one has the right to judge anyone else's decisions. If she is old enough to have a say in the government of the country she is old enough to make her own decisions about her body.

"Not knowing the life this girl has had makes it impossible to say anything - I would have a lot more to say to the men who would bid. Everyone makes mistakes and hopefully learns from them."

Others watching on Twitter were equally horrified about Aleexandra's plight and were worried for her: "What a naive young girl. My heart goes out to her. I hope the counsellor or someone can dissuade her.

"I just want her to win the lottery or something so she doesn't go through this. She's clueless & it's so awful. Bless her".

"I don't think we understand her desperation. It's just heartbreaking.

"Very sad and upsetting to see what this young beautiful girl is committing herself to. I pray she changes her mind".
