Getting a primo spot on the beach is one of life's pleasures. But for some, keeping that perfect pozzie is more important than anything else — and they just won't budge no matter what might be happening around them.
That seems to be the case for one South Australian womanwho has been captured sunbaking on Port Willunga Beach, while an intimate wedding ceremony takes place just metres away.
In the shot that has since gone viral on Instagram, the bikini-clad woman is nonplussed by the presence of the wedding ceremony, lying face down as though it's just another day on the sand.
Captured by a fellow Adelaide resident, the picture was posted to ShitAdelaide Instagram page and captioned: "That awkward moment when a beach wedding interrupts your sun tanning session."
The woman who got the hilarious shot told the Daily Mail she didn't think the woman noticed, saying: "She was just 1m away — it was pretty funny."
Social media users have weighed in, commenting on the post with captions of their own theorising how the situation came to occur.
One wrote: "That's just cousin Shazza. She always passes out drunk and half naked at family weddings although during the ceremony is a new record."
Another user defended the tanning woman, writing: "Looks like a really big empty stretch of beach. If the tanner was already there, plenty of op to set up elsewhere. I wouldn't move either."
Mystery still surrounds the identity of the woman, and whether or not she was aware of the wedding taking place just metres from her beach spot.
Perhaps she was in a glorious beach slumber, perhaps she knew the wedding was happening and didn't give two hoots — either way you have to admire her dedication to the beach life.
