There are some lucky types who really don't need an anti-perspirant or deodorant. If you're one of those, don't bother. For the rest of us, you may like to consider exactly what you're using.
1. Remember a deodorant's main job is to mask the smell of any odour with the
use of perfume or by trying to wipe out the bacteria that causes odour.
2. Anti-perspirant aims to prevent sweat from actually happening or, at the very least, to minimise it. Aluminium compounds manage to stop sweat ducts sweating by forming a plug.
3. Apply after a shower and allow to dry before getting dressed.
4. It's best to avoid applying immediately after shaving unless instructions say it's alcohol-free and can be used in such a way.

Natio Roll-on Deodorant, $9.95 for 100ml
This is an aluminium-free deodorant for both men and women. It has lavender, rosemary, clary-sage and lemon essential oils so the smell is pleasant without being all-consuming. From selected pharmacies and beauty therapists.
Calvin Klein CK One Deodorant, $43 for 75ml
Calvin Klein's unisex fragrance cK One came into being 10 years ago. So it goes without saying the stick deodorant is good for both men and women. From selected department stores and pharmacies.
