Sonny Bill Williams scores new gig off the pitch

Sports star Sonny Bill Williams has today been named as the new face of well-known clothing label: Just Jeans.

The 29-year-old, who flew in from Australia a few days ago, was in Auckland this morning taking part in a photo shoot for the label's Summer '14 campaign; which officially launches tomorrow.

Dressed in a casual white shirt and denim three-quarter jeans, the sports star said being involved with the label was a nod to what was most unique about the Kiwi style - cool and casual.

"It's just simple wear that I know that I would wear. I've always been a jeans and Chucks person and I used to shop at Just Jeans when I was younger, so when the opportunity came up, I was pretty excited to be involved," he said.

"Kiwi style is pretty unique and everyone's got their own different spin on it. But casual wear and jeans is a must in every household in New Zealand.

"I like to be comfortable without compromising on style, and I'm sure Kiwis will love the new collection and the variety it offers. The new range is the perfect choice for summer - let's just hope we get a hot one this year."

Williams will tomorrow play for Counties Manukau, coached by All Black legend Tana Umaga, against Auckland in the ITM Cup competition.
