"We know Auckland can do better so we called on Auckland fans to show Snapchat and the world what makes our coastal city so epically special. It was terrific to see the number of Auckland businesses that pulled together to help make it right."
The campaign was supported by a number of local organisations, including Air New Zealand, ATEED (Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development), Auckland Art Gallery and Heart of the City who used social media channels to call for submissions to SnapAuckland.
However, as with the first Auckland Snapchat story, not everyone was impressed by the end result.
Twitter user kurtsharpe asked, "Is Version 2.0 of Auckland's Snapchat Story worse than the first one?"
Another user said, "That Auckland snap chat that tried to do to redeem Auckland was just as s**t".
When it comes to representing one's city to the world, there's just no pleasing anyone it seems.
The SnapAuckland story can be viewed on Snapchat until about 9pm tonight, by adding the user snapauckland on the app.
