Sci-fi comic-book tale merges live actors into an artificial universe in an adventure that harks back to the Saturday morning serials of yesteryear.

Jude Law is a daredevil pilot trying to rescue New York from huge robots wanting to take over the metropolis, aided by reporter girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow in a quest that will take them to icy mountains, an airborne airstrip and a fantasy island, with various degrees of assistance from Giovanni Ribisi and Angelina Jolie.

Daft, meaningless fun, with lots of extras on the 2-disk DVD.
