Forget the man cave, 2016 is all about the 'she shed'.
The trend has taken off overseas, and now New Zealand women are also jumping at the chance to kit out their own private hideaway at home.
New Zealand company Homelandz has started to import the attractive sheds, and havebeen so innundated with demand that the first shipment has sold out.
Manager of Shed Sheds NZ, Sharoyn Reid, says Kiwi women have been putting the outdoor rooms to a range of uses.
"Quite a few have been sold for craft businesses, also for sleep outs, music rooms, tack sheds, or as pilates rooms," she told Newstalk ZB. "Its also a really good space for a potting shed, you can set up nicely with a potting bench, and theres lots of space on the walls to hang tools."

One of the sheds, which retail for $5800 and are delivered in kitset form, has even been purchased by a dog spa company as a comfy space for pampered pooches.
Reid said the idea to bring she sheds to New Zealand first came about after they saw pictures of the sheds online.
When the company went to the Christchurch Show last year, they were amazed at the number of responses they had to a display banner with a she shed picture on it.
"We thought, we really need to look into getting the sheds here, because there's obviously a big demand for something like that," she said.
The company initially looked at New Zealand made sheds, but couldn't find what they were looking for. However, they found their ideal she shed overseas, and the first shipment sold out fast. There is currently another container on the way to keep up with the demand.
The sheds are 9m3, come complete with chic French doors, and can be painted or stained in any colour the owner desires.

And its not just women that are buying them. "[The sheds] have a really nice, ladies look about them, but we have been selling them to men as well," Reid told NewstalkZB.
"One couple bought one together, they put in a nice couple of chairs and use it as a place to have a cup of tea during the day, and a glass of wine at night."
