Sex robot 'heavily soiled' after being molested at tech fair

A realistic sex doll had to be sent for repairs after being "molested" at a tech fair.

Samantha, a sex robot that retails for more than $5500, was reportedly left "heavily soiled" after being repeatedly molested at the Arts Electronica Festival in Linz, Austria.

"The people mounted Samantha's breasts, her legs and arms. Two fingers were broken. She was heavily soiled," the sex doll's creator Sergi Santos told Metro.

He added people treated the doll "like barbarians".

Samantha is an Artificial Intelligence robot and reacts to touch and talks.

The doll had to be shipped back to Barcelona, where she was made, for repairs.

She is expected to make a full recovery, her creator said.

Sex robots are increasing in popularity. A recent survey showed that 40 per cent of males would consider buying an AI doll.

Some researchers believe the dolls could have positive consequences, including a reduction in sex trafficking and traditional sex work, as well as preventing sexually transmitted diseases.
