Cartoon character comes to the big screen. We've been there before over the past few years, so it's a surprise that the formula doesn't work quite so well with Scooby-Doo as it has with those who have gone before.
Problem seems to be that
the producers weren't quite sure whether to target this blend of animation and live action at those who remember the 30-year-old original, fans of Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze jnr, or a new bunch of kids, and fail to connect with any of the above.
