Here's when we'll finally glimpse the new little royal.
Here's when we'll finally glimpse the new little royal.
After weeks of impatiently waiting for any news regarding the royal baby, we finally had confirmation on Monday that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are now proud parents of a son.
But the excitement over the announcement has quickly given way to questions about when, exactly, we'll first lay eyeson him.
It's understood, despite hoping for a home birth, an overdue Meghan was whisked off to a private hospital in London to deliver her baby, just like Kate Middleton did for all three of hers.
Meghan Markle has given birth to her first child with Harry, a baby boy.
But unlike Kate, who each time provided keen royal fans with the obligatory post-birth pose outside the hospital, Meghan and her baby managed to sneak back into Frogmore Cottage without anyone catching a glimpse.
It's hardly a surprise - Meghan and Harry expressed their desire for a private birth weeks ago.
In April, Meghan and Harry released a statement saying, "Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private. The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family."
It's understood the long-awaited first photo of Baby Sussex will be taken by a single photographer in a controlled environment and released after the couple has had a chance to settle in with their new bundle of joy.
"We'll be seeing you guys in probably two days time as planned as a family to be able to share it with you guys and so everyone can see the baby," he said.
It's believed the couple will share the photo on their new Instagram page, @sussexroyal, as they did with the original birth announcement.
