Rivals face 'Kong' at Film Critics' Awards

Britain's The Constant Gardener will vie with Peter Jackson's King Kong for Film of the Year at this year's Film Critics' Awards on February 8.

The other front-runners are Crash, A History of Violence and Brokeback Mountain.The directors of these five films dominate the nominations list for Director of the Year.

Australia's Naomi Watts is up for Actress of the Year for her role in Kong. Up against her: Juliette Binoche (Hidden), Catalina Sandino Moreno (Maria Full of Grace), Laura Linney (Kinsey) and Maria Bello (A History of Violence).

Heath Ledger has a nomination for Actor of the Year (Brokeback Mountain). His main rival is Johnny Depp (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory).
