Revealed: Victoria's Secret is manic girls' club

Victoria's Secret Angel Erin Heatherton reveals behind-the-scenes at the label's lingerie shows can be hectic.

Heatherton made her debut for the lingerie brand on the catwalk in 2008, before earning her Angel status two years later.

The model loves being part of the super successful label, even though it gets crazy at times.

"Backstage at the Victoria's Secret show is pure madness. Big personalities, big hair and tons of press," she told vogue.co.uk.

"It's a lot of fun - I think there's something special and timeless about girls getting ready together. This is the ultimate display - head-to-toe."

Fellow Angel Behati Prinsloo added: "It's a girls' club. It's kind of manic back there, but also fun and exciting."

The Victoria's Secret Angels are famed for their stunning looks and enviable bodies. Heatherton says the brand has given her a new lease of life and fresh confidence.

"My favourite thing about being an Angel is having the opportunity to play with my femininity - it's a kind of creativity I never tapped into growing up," she said.

"I love to learn and Victoria's Secret has given me more opportunities than I ever thought possible. I like doing things that scare me - I've learned never to doubt myself."

Heatherton and Prinsloo explained why they think the US company has enjoyed such an overwhelming reception.

"I think the brand's success comes from embracing the personality of each girl and using that to create a real brand spokesmodel. Customers and fans are able to be a part of the experience with us - watching our careers grow and learning more about us," Heatherton said.
