Red burger: Japan's next fast food craze

Japanese fast food fans will soon be seeing red, but not in a way that makes them want to leave a one-star review on Zomato.

Burger King Japan are releasing a limited edition burger with a red bun, red cheese and a red miso hot sauce, the Wall Street Journal reported.

The Aka Samurai burger - available in both chicken and beef - goes on sale on July 3. The buns and cheese have been 'reddened' with tomato powder, meaning it will probably taste a bit like Munchos.

The red burger comes after last year's successful all-black burger. In a double-dose of good news, the Kuro Shogun - featuring black buns, cheese, and deep-fried eggplant - will also be returning in August this year.
