Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, are expecting their first child early next year.
The news was announced on social media through the royal family's official accounts.
"Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in early 2021," a tweet posted by the royal family account read.
"The Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York, Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh are delighted with the news," it added.

Princess Eugenie is the younger daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson and is 10th in line to the throne.
The couple's first-born will be 11th in line to the throne, knocking Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex, down to 12th.
Brooksbank and the Princess married on October 12, 2018, at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, after being together for seven years.
He popped the question while the couple were on a holiday in Nicaragua.
