Prince George wore an almost identical outfit to his baby sister's christening in England to the one his father wore when he visited his newborn brother in hospital.

Watch:

George sported a Rachel Riley ensemble to Princess Charlotte's christening, featuring a Peter Pan collared white shirt with red trim and patterns, teamed with red shorts.

His shirt and shorts retail as a set for $176.

George's father Prince William wore almost the same outfit with a slightly different patterned shirt about three decades ago when as a two-year-old he visited his then-newborn brother Prince Harry at St Mary's Hospital.

The Duchess of Cambridge wore an elegant cream Alexander McQueen coat with a Jane Taylor feathered hat.

Kate wore McQueen at her wedding and also for Prince George's christening. She polished her look with teardrop earrings and nude court shoes.

Princess Charlotte wore a handmade replica of the Royal Christening Robe, made by the Queen's dressmaker, Angela Kelly. It was originally made in 1841 for the christening of Queen Victoria's eldest daughter, Victoria.
