It is a festival known for its spontaneous outbreaks of singing and dancing as thousands of visitors mingle with the participants.
And when Prince Charles was asked to join in with a group of bhangra performers, the heir to the throne did not disappoint.
Charles's moves may have been restrictedby his suit and tie, but he gamely joined hands with members of the Punjabi dance troupe to perform a royal jig.
The 66-year-old was pictured with the Sheerer Punjab Bhangra Dance group at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod, of which he is patron.

He was invited to join in by Narinder Singh, leader of the Nottingham-based group, as they took part in a Parade of Nations through the Denbighshire town.
Mr Singh, 59, a pharmacist, said: "The prince shook hands with me and I said, "It would be wonderful if you could dance with us".
"As we were going in the parade, I held his hand. We still can't believe it really. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."
