Plus-size model Tess Holliday announces baby joy

US model Tess Holliday has announced the arrival of her second bundle of joy, Bowie Juniper Holliday.

According to People magazine, Holliday's representatives confirmed the arrival of her 3.91 kg son with fiance Nick Holliday, on June 6.

While it's the size-22 model's first child with Nick, she also has a 10-year-old son, Rylee, from a previous relationship.

Speaking to People magazine earlier this year the 30-year-old said the pregnancy was not on her agenda.

"It definitely was not planned and I was a little nervous when I first found out (I was pregnant), but I'm excited!"

She said this time round she's grateful to have support.

"When I had my [first] son, I was 20 and I didn't know what I was doing and I didn't have help. I'm really excited to be doing it again and have support, and be able to enjoy having a baby, because I couldn't last time."

Given that the last time she had a baby was 10 years ago, she said she feels like she's having to learn new things about caring for an infant.

"My friends that have babies are posting all of these new swings and breastfeeding techniques and new bottles, and it's really overwhelming because I thought: 'I've already done all this', but it feels like I haven't. I'm having to relearn a lot!"
