A record 700 young women tried out for the Cadbury Dream Model Search.

A panel of judges will choose the winner on Wednesday night from the 12 finalists selected - three each from Auckland, Waikato and Christchurch, two from Dunedin and one from Wellington.

The winner will receive a contract with Nova Models Talent and Actors and will be flown to Sydney for a meeting with top agency Vivien's Model Management and a test shoot with a leading Australian fashion photographer.
