Oscar winner Geena Davis expecting twins

Oscar-winning actress Geena Davis, 47, is preparing a new off-screen role as the mother of twins, her publicist has announced.

Davis is expecting the babies next spring, publicist Paul Bloch said.

"Ms Davis is in wonderful health and both husband and wife and baby Alizeh are looking forward to the new additions," he added.

She has been "concentrating on being a mom" but is scheduled to shoot a guest appearance on the television sitcom Will & Grace soon.

The actress is expecting with fourth husband Reza Jarrahy, a 33-year-old surgeon. The couple already have an 18-month-old daughter, Alizeh Keshvar.
