A New Zealand short film has been selected to screen at international film festivals in Canada and Spain later this year.
Fleeting Beauty, written by Auckland film lecturer Shuchi Kothari, will compete at the World Film Festival in Montreal in August and Spain's 49th Valladolid International Film Festival in October.
"It's a great honour to be able to screen Fleeting Beauty to an international audience, and a tremendous achievement for an independently funded New Zealand film," Ms Kothari said in a statement today.
The film will premiere at the New Zealand Film Festival in Auckland next month.
