1. Boil the water and add stock cubes; stir until dissolved. Set aside. 2. Add flour, sage, garlic powder and black pepper in small bowl. Mix and set aside. 3. Add butter in a saucepan over low heat; heat until butter is melted, stirring as needed. 4. Add flour mixture to melted butter, stirring constantly. 5. Cook until it takes on a golden brown colour. 6. Slowly pour the stock into the flour/butter mixture. Stir or whisk constantly to prevent lumps. 7. Turn the heat up to medium and continue cooking until you have a gravy consistency.
