Little Bird and the Unbakery's Megan May joins the Bite team this week and her blueberry coconut ice blocks are hitting the spot - just in time for our warmer temperatures (finally!). Made from antioxidant-rich wholefoods, they are a good to have on hand in thefreezer for late-summer snacking.

Masterchef's Vanessa Baxter is also here to help ease families in to the new school year and to start new kitchen habits - just getting them in there earns you a gold star - but seeing them tuck in to bowls of healthy goodness is the true reward. Get them snacking on groovy guacamole or funky fritters - which are also great for dinner or lunch and knowing they have some out of this world overnight oats waiting for them might get them up early for breakfast.
Kyle Street returns from a wee break during which he opened his own restaurant, Culprit, in Auckland City (if you haven't been yet you are seriously missing out). I don't think I have ever craved a carrot but Culprit's ugly carrot has me weak at the knees. But first, we're roasting beetroot to serve with a kombucha vinaigrette for dinner tonight.
