Shimmer and sequin eye shadows are on point for SS17, but can be tricky to perfect without looking overdone. "Sequin shadows look modern and flattering and, used correctly, are perfect for all ages," says Bobbi Brown training manager Olivia Wildey.
"Hair, brow and skin tones fade with age, so avoid dark shades or neon colours as they will make your features look harsh. Choose soft, fresh hues like berry, rose, pink and apricot, which define features and add vibrancy. To apply, start with a neutral matte eye shadow on your eyelid, blending up to the crease using a brush. Then add a matte bone shade on your brow bone to highlight and reduce any redness on the lid. Add sparkle by pressing your sequin shadow on with your finger and blending. To complete the look, wear a simple liner and layer on mascara for long, full lashes. Keep the rest of your face neutral so your eyes are the focus."

"My skin is so fussy, I need something super light and gentle - basically, a product that feels like you're not wearing any product if that makes sense? The Dermalogica UltraCalming range is perfect for me. My go-to is the serum concentrate - it's amazing!"
