The Bite team will be at the Auckland Food Show later this month and we are looking forward to spending four days surrounded by many of our favourite food producers and food lovers and to meet more of you Bite lovers too.
We are working on a special Food Show issue of Bite and have been busy creating recipes using many of the delicious products you will find at the show.
Be sure to enter to win our Bite VIP Food Show experience. In the meantime we have a few more foodies we would like you to meet. Kelly Gibney, Hannah Horton and Buffy Gill are New Zealand bloggers sharing recipes in Whole:Recipes for Simple Wholefood Eating, a new book born of the demands for better food. Check out this cauliflower rice pilaf, maca and chia seed bread and mango and turmeric cheesecake, they're going to be popular and so are the rest of the recipes in the book. Whole, published by Beatnik Publishing, RRP$44.99 is on sale today.
Warren Elwin landed in central New Zealand at the same time as one of the largest storms in history a few weeks ago, but it didn't dampen his appetite and appreciation for country cuisine. On his return, after a stiff wintry bourbon buck, he was turning out salt and pepper squid, individual beef wellingtons and a very moist olive oil citrus cake in celebration of his exhilarating mid-winter break to the Wairarapa.
It's Bastille Day on Tuesday 14 so we have compiled a delectable French recipe collection to help add some je ne sais quoi to the menu. We're challenging ourselves to master the perfect French fries to serve with a winter nicoise salad for dinner.
