Kylie Minogue occasionally "rebels" against the outfits chosen by her stylist.

She has tactics in place which she uses to protest herself against an outfit she doesn't want to wear.

While Minogue is usually comfortable with the ensembles her stylist William Baker chooses for her, there are occasions when the petite star has to put her foot down.

"Sometimes I do rebel and just say no," Minogue tells British Vogue.

"I carry a weapon in my handbag for such occasions and I'm not afraid to use it; a single Christian Louboutin heel, thrown across the room."

The 44-year-old has praised Baker for helping her choose some of the most famous fashion items she has sported over the years - particularly the gold hot pants she wore in the now legendary Spinning Around music video.

"My girlfriend bought them for 50p at a market - I think it was North End Road in Kensington. They were living in my cupboard for a while," Minogue explains.

"They loitered in the back of the wardrobe until William was having a snoop around for the Spinning Around video.

"He pulled out these tiny gleaming things and said: 'what about these?' I like their very humble beginnings and that they went on to be one of the most iconic things I've ever worn."

Minogue joked about one memorable incident that occurred backstage at the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2000.

Baker used questionable powers of persuasion to convince her to wear a fabulous, and very revealing, Julien Macdonald dress.

"I had William and a choreographer, two gays, in the dressing room with me. They rugby tackled me out the door shouting: 'You have to wear that'," Minogue told District MTV.

"They were right, it looked fantastic - but what it feels like to be in something, and how someone sees you wearing it, are two very different things."
