When it comes to bedroom accessories, a new infidelity-detecting mattress is a world first.
The mattress works by detecting how many people are in bed, and what sort of activity is going on, before informing the owner via a mobile phone app.
The "Smarttress" is the work of
target="_blank">Spanish mattress brand, Durmet, and was developed after stats revealed Spaniards were the most unfaithful people in Europe.
The mattress features a 'Lover Detection System', with 24 ultrasonic sensors which create a 3D map of where there is greater pressure, and what sort of movement is taking place.
"It is a concept that will bring peace of mind to men and women, not just during the night but also during the day while they are out at work and when the bed should not really be being used," Durmet spokesman Jose Antonio Muinos told The Sun.
